About Us - Phyllis Kream Kantrowitz, LCSW
Phyllis Kream Kantrowitz is an licensed clinical social worker, psychotherapist and psychoanalyst with over 25 years of experience in private practice. Ms. Kantowitz graduated from Montclair University Cum Laude with a BS in psychology. She earned her MSW from Columbia University School of Social Work.
She obtained training in Structural Family Therapy at Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. She continued her education by completing a four year training program in Adult Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy at Post Graduate Center for Mental Health in New York City, while also working in their mental health clinic. Additionally, Ms. Kantrowitz completed their two year training program in Supervision of the Psychoanalytic Process.
She has additional experience as a corporate trainer in stress management, work-related interpersonal conflicts, conflict management and issues in supervisor/supervisee relationships. She also was a Mental Health Consultant with the Newark Preschool Headstart Program for over seven years.
Focus of Treatment
Ms. Kantrowitz has expertise and experience in treating a wide variety of psychiatric disorders in toddlers, children, adolescents, adults and seniors. The numerous modalities she employs includes adolescent and adult psychodynamic psychotherapy, play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, brief crisis intervention, couples therapy and parent support groups. These diverse modalities add to her excellent fit with Dr. Rudominer’s practice and philosophy.
